This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of any event hosting Partner or Provider, and/or third-party companies that Ocho Events does not own or control.
What information do we collect from you?
We collect information from you when you register on and/or interact with our Platform. This includes personal information such as name, email, gender, age, phone numbers, profile picture, billing information such as credit card info, as well as survey answers. We also will collect information from you in the form of questionnaires post-event in order to further customize and personalize events to your preferences. We may periodically obtain both personal and non-personal information about you from affiliated entities such as social media providers. This information may include likes, events attended, friend lists and other information that you authorize us to receive. We also collect information about your device, such as IP address, browser, referring website, error logging information, connection speeds, pages viewed, etc. in order to customize and improve customer experience across our platform.
How do we use your information?
We use personal information in order to select the best events to invite you to, as well as to build groups of attendees through our machine learning algorithms. We also use personal information to contact you for invites and information about Ocho events, and to reserve spots at events for you upon your acceptance of an invite, as well to contact you and ask what you enjoyed/didn’t enjoy about any events you attend or feedback on our Platform in general. We may also use your contact information for promotional purposes or special offers. We use billing information in order to book your spot at an event, upon your explicit acceptance of an invite. We also use your information in order to improve our platform and our customer service.
Who do we share your information with?
We share your information with suppliers and partners in order to provide you with a great event experience. This could include event providers that need to know who is attending events and their preferences, such as vegetarianism or food allergies. We also may share your information in response to subpoenas, court orders, other legal processes, or to establish or exercise our legal rights, to defend against legal claims or as otherwise required by law, or as is appropriate to investigate, prevent or take action regarding illegal or suspected illegal activities, to defend the rights, property or safety of Ocho, our customers, our partners, or others. We may also share aggregate, or anonymous information with third parties, including advertisers and investors. For example, we may tell our investors the number of visitors our Platform receives or the most popular events. This does not contain any personally identifiable information. We also may use information collected as described in this Privacy Statement with your consent or as otherwise required or permitted by law.
How do we protect your information?
We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when we acquire it when we access it, and when it is at rest in the accredited cloud providers that we use.
What do you use Cookies for?
Cookies are small data text files and can be stored on your device (if your Web browser permits). We use cookies to save your preferences for future visits, compile aggregate data about Platform interaction so that we can offer better experiences in the future.
What about Social Networks?
The Platform may be accessible through or contain connections to areas where you may be able to publicly post information, communicate with others such as discussion boards or blogs, review events and venues, and submit media content. Prior to posting in these areas, please read our Terms of Use carefully. All the information you post may be accessible to anyone with Internet access, and any Personal Information you include in your posting may be read, collected, and used by others. We recommend that you do not post any Personal Information in the social community areas. You may log in to the Platform using certain social network credentials. To manage the sharing of certain Personal Information with us when you connect with us through social networking platforms or applications, refer to the privacy policy and settings of the social networking website or application. By proceeding through any of the above steps, you grant Ocho Events permission to access all of the elements of your social network profile information that you have made available to be shared and to use it in accordance with the social network’s terms of use and this Privacy Statement.
What about links to third parties?
If any part of this Platform links you to other sites/apps, those sites/apps do not operate under this Privacy Policy. We recommend that you examine the privacy statements posted on those other websites to understand their procedures for collecting, using, and disclosing personal information.
What about Children’s privacy?
This is a general audience website and does not offer services directed to children. By using the Ocho Events Platform, you represent that you are at least twenty-one years old and understand that you must be at least twenty-one years old in order to create an account and purchase the services offered through the Platform. We will promptly delete information associated with any account we obtain actual knowledge is associated with a registered user who is not at least twenty-one years old.

If we make changes to our privacy policy, those changes will be posted on this page, with the date at the top being updated.
